New Moon Midnight Experience

My friends thankfully got to the Theatre around 6PM for the 12:01 AM showing, because I had worked out of town that day, I wasn't bale to get there until around 7:30. I could not believe how long the line already was, but then again, 24 theatres were showing New Moon. At 10PM my yawns starting taking over, so I left my line for a short time to find a much needed MONSTER drink... may I also add, it was my first MONSTER drink ever. Walking through the mall that housed the theatres, I was surrounded by a sea of New Moon shirts with sayings such as:

Team Edward
Team Jacob
Team Switzerland
Team Voturri
Dont Make me Choose
I like FORKS
Forks High School
My mommy thinks Twilight is a bed time story
Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf
Wolf Pack
Bite Me
Vamp Girl
Of course we had a wide range in our group too

I've never been a part of a midnight showing, and the excitement is something to be experienced. I loved it. Loved the cheering, chanting, yelling, and my friend racing for the theatre almost knocking innocent women down on her path to find our treasured seats. HILARIOUS! Standing in line was fun and nerve racking... God forbid someone try to cut after all these people standing in line for so many hours!
Now for the Movie - on scale of 1 - 10.. I give it a 7.
I did love it. I loved how close they stayed to the book. I knew after reading the book a couple five times that Edward and the Cullens were non existent in New Moon... I left the theatre a little sad that I didn't see enough of the Cullens. This was, without a doubt, Jacob Black's movie. He really did a great job, while looking quiet delishous at the same time. The wolves were amazing, and so fierce. This movie had romance, comedy, action, and fright all going for it. I went from sad, to scared to laughing in no time. I felt like the movie lasted 30 minutes, and the end leaves you begging for more.

Things that need to be addressed:
Jasper's hair - Holy hell is was horrid! A bad bleach job afro.
Edward's make up... I dont know if it was off, or they were trying to make him look ill.. I want that sexy vampire back.
If you have a weak stomach like me... I got a little motion sickness in the first 10 minutes.
Things that kicked ass
The Volturri
Jacob
The Wolves
Bella
Jessica (who I dont care for, but was hilarious)
This film had COLOR! Not that blue stuff from Twilight. It was beautiful.

Yes I will see it again in theatres. And, even though I have not had a wink of sleep in over 36 hours (which also means I will never drink MONSTER again) I will do another midnight show for Eclipse!

Mr. & Mrs More Wine Please

My good friend and amazing photographer Emily photographed our family last week.  It was such a change for me to be on the other side of the camera lens.  I told Emily that I would really like some good pics of me and the hubbs, and she delivered!  She was nice enough to let me edit all the photos (because I am anal like that) and I am still weeding through my favs of the girls.

we both love the pic below, its just us... him in chucks and me in 4" somethings....

Ok I know this one is goofy... but I still liked (for the record, it is not hubby approved).

I know I know... my mom and family are looking at this saying "ok, nice pics, now show me the girls!".... in time!  She took almost 400 pics... and most of the girls!

Hope everyone is having a great week... I'm totally New Moon struck like a giddy 15 year old girl!
I'll be lining up at a sold out theatre tomorrow night!

A litte bit of...

dessert at almost every meal...

a little bit of tubbing every day in our room... conveniently located right next to the bed...

there may or may not have been a lot of reading... (didn't I say this was heaven on earth?)

most amazing pool I have seen... could not get enough of it... hubby actually just had to leave me at the pool alone the last day.. he couldn't hang!

lots of lounge chairs in the pool Sunday morning thanks to Ida (seriously dont like that b-atch)

Hibachi time!!

very cool hibachi chef

I played in a black jack tournament and won the WHOLE THING!!! I had been drinking champage the whole time, and ironically, my prize was a bottle of champagne?!

this cute little blonde and I met at dinner, and became instant friends... we played black jack while our hubbys were off smoking cigars and playing with some Chris Angel mind freak fella (who happened to have vampire teeth).
She came in close at black jack, so was also awarded some champagne! We apparently made an impression, because the next night at dinner, this guy from Holland (who I never saw) was replaying my entire evening for me. (little creepy)

dinner our last night... like 7 course meal... it was amazing!

I just want to go back to having my room cleaned twice a day, turn down service, someone cleaning my sun glasses while lounging by the pool and fetching my drinks....

I did not bring enough Xanax for this!!!

We're back!  Let me first say, we had a wonderful time in Cancun... but, there were a couple hiccups.
Ever hear of tropical- storm- almost- a- hurricane Ida?  If you haven't read it before on here, I hate flying... HATE it... Well, from Atlanta to Cancun there was a lot of turbulance (the term "a lot" is subject to author) and the Xanax I took at 5AM, had apparently worn off at 11:30 AM.  Squished in between hubby, and sweet old lady from New Jersey with horrible breath... panic attack commeth!  Before I knew it, my stomach was rolling, hair standing on end, and my back side was dripping wet in sweat.. seriously looked like I just pissed myself.  I was just about the tell the pilot how much he sucked at flying for not being able to avoid the turbulance, when hubby so kindly informed me that if I said one word to the pilot, he would never fly with me again.  FINE!
We finally reached our beautiful resort around 1:30 on Friday afternoon, and just as we set food in the hotel, champagne glasses are in our hands... after a couple glasses we were easily convinced to upgrade our room (sneaky Mexicans!)
Food and drinks were flowing like water, we saw a little rain on Saturday but nothing to get depressed about... yet...
Sunday morning, I was half asleep in bed and our hotel phone room rings a little before 8 AM.  Hubby answers.  After less than a minute conversation, he rolls over and says  "You arent going to like this"
Silence
In his nicest, most trying to calm your psycho wife voice he says "SOOO.... that was the front desk, and they are asking everyone to go ahead and have breakfast now, and then we need to pack up all of our stuff and put in our bathroom, and by 10 AM they want everyone in the main ball room, and um, they said we should bring a pillow"
I totally lost it! Hubby is kindly patting my back and says "so... how much of that Xanax did you bring?" Too many images were running through my mind. I needed to call my parents, but words could not even come out of my mouth with out crying hysterically. There was NO way I could talk to our girls.  Hubby called both sets of parents, while I paced around the room. I was trying to imagine what an emergency situation would look like and how could I be prepared and come out alive.  How do you out run a hurrican? OH RUN!  I can run, and I brought my running shoes... but what if the temperature drops??  Shit, I only have a denim jacket, and it smells like that damn restuarant we ate lunch in... I need a hoodie, a soft warm hoodie is exactly what I need and it will keep me safe in a hurricane (YES FRIENDS THIS IS WHAT I WAS THINKING)....  I start freaking out again because I could not find the proper hurricane out running clothes. Sun dresses, flip flops and tank tops would not do... So what do I do?  I march down to the gift shop and spend $60 on the ugliest red "Cancun" hoodie you have ever seen.  I felt 10x better.
Less than 2 hours after the front desk call, things died down considerably and we were aloud to stay in our rooms.

Pictures and the Good stuff coming soon!

Adios Amigas!

We're off for a kid free vacation!
I am mentally trying to prepare myself for the flight, thank you  Xanax.. and hubby says thanks too, he would prefer for me just to be knocked out though.  Flying to me is the MOST unnatural thing on the planet, and I hate it...  the destination will be worth it (keep repeating).

I'll be back in bloggy land next week sisters!
Have a great weekend!

Weekend in Pictures

Best teachers on EARTH!  We had such a cute Halloween party Friday afternoon, with some songs and dances to boot!  I am going to miss this school and these teachers so much next year!

Some good friends of ours had a Halloween partry Friday night... I was serisously impressed with their cake and haunted back yard!  The girls had the best time!

Saturday morning I was up at the crack of Dawn and met my mom downtown for the Women of Faith Confernce... it was really amazing!  Something we should do every 6 months.  I left their wanting to be a better Christain, wife, mother, friend, and person.  God's love never ceases to amaze me.

Drama Queen finally got her get up on and rocked out in her poodle skirt....

A quick trunk or treat at chuch and the Diva had to be carried... her tooties are not quiet ready for heels!

We headed home, put on some comfy shoes under the gown, and the girls trick or treated the neighborhood with hubby!

This is only 1/2 the candy....

And things got crazy!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Happy Halloween from the Diva!

daily friends... daily...
thanks to the candy, things got really crazy last night!

Queen Diva Halloween 2009

If you ask this child which princess she is, she will tell you Cinderella, because, "hello, my dress is blue and my hair is yellow, just like her".
But mommy was just going for a pretty princess dress... so this is what we ended up with, and she loves it! The dress came in the nick of time, and not extra alterations were needed!

The Drama Queen made me promise that I would NOT try to coordinate her and her sister this year... so be it.. I lost the battle. She decided to be a 50's girl this year, and has yet to wear her costume.

Today at Drama's school, the 5th grade is celebrating MAD SCIENTIST DAY. Which explains the CrAzY hair and lab coat... (Thank you Susan!) she was also awarded Terrific Kid for her 5th grade class, and her teacher said the sweetest things about her... I was so proud!

Hope everyone has an awesome weekend~!
HAPPY HAUNTING!
